Bank Teller? |
As a bank teller what are you required to know and is there additional training or classes that they send you through? I applied for a bank teller position but I have no clue as to what there job is other than to count money out. I was a bank teller with washingtom mutual. I had no experience but they taught. You will learn to refer banking products, order cards, take in money, make money orders, file desputes, and also telephone banking duties. It can be really fun if you have the right attitude and the pays not bad :) I was a bank teller before. You really do not need to know anything before hand. It is not complicated, anyone can do it. And that is mainly because yes, you do have mandatory training. They will send you to maybe two weeks of training at a location outside the branch you are working at. No need to worry about anything. experience I have always heard that tellers have a tremendous responsibility but aren't paid very well. Looking forward to a promotion after a few years is the best you can hope for. Perhaps you should go back to school and multiply your career options while working at the bank. |
