Is there something in the internet similar to paypal which can help me pay someone?

What's wrong with Paypal? It's a great company.

You can use Western Union (www.westernunion.com) or maybe Google Checkout (checkout.google.com).

I think if you open accounts through E*Trade (www.etrade.com) or similar company, you can setup a free BillPay account where you can automatically pay companies. I wouldn't be surprised if you can set it up to have them mail your friend or a third party for you with a check.
