Does anyone have a good way to save money? i need to start saving for a vehical.? |
Everytime i get money saved up i spend it on hunting stuff that i dont evan need lol please help everyone thanks How about giving your savings to your parents and they put it in a savings account in their name. That way you won't have access to it and can't spend it for things you don't even need. When it comes time to get your car they can give you the money. Good luck and drive safely. 1.sell the stuff you do not need anymore on ebay or craigslist :D 2. pay off your debt 3. look for ways you can save money i.e. not more hunting equip, eat out less, etcc 4. put savings in an index fund (saving for car takes time) 5.repeat steps 1-4 I don't know what the banks are like where you live, but how about creating a separate bank account like a high-yield online account, or a term deposit (depending on which has better interest rates on them). Just put most of the money in that account and make sure you do not withdraw any money from the account - do not link it to any cards (including your bank keycard). When you go shopping, write down a list of what you want to buy - and don't deviate from it. Tell your friends and family about your goals to encourage you, so if they see you deviate and do go impulse shopping, they can tell you to stop it otherwise you won't be able to buy your vehicle. Well if you already have a steady income take 10%-20% of what you earn and put in a seperate intrest earning account or every pay check commit all the leftovers to your chunk account plus put some cash aside. Have several avenues for your savings. Get rid of your stuffism mind-set and just get rid of what you don't need and avoid going to stores. Buy your food in bulk while it is on sale and you can cut a lot of expenses if you do not shop as often. I managed to save five thousand while my husband was out of work and we have been living on that while his back recovers. I would open a savings account with your parents. You can have the bank require two signatures for any withdrawal. That way you can't take out any money by yourself, you would need a parent's signature as well. |
