I have been told that I will have to go on incapacity benefit.? |
I am a bit worried as I recieve money from the CSA for my child will getting incapacity benefit affect the payment from the CSA the incapacity benefit is for you. the csa is for your children and if it affects anything it would be the amount of incapacity benefit you would get. your csa is safe. It shouldnt affect it no.. Any old excuse to sponge off the state eh? no it will not the csa payment is somthing you get even if you are working No it should't. incapacity benefit is about the same amount as income support which has no affect on the csa. You should count your self lucky that your one of the few people that the csa actually manages to get money too! my daughters 4 and i still havent got a penny! Good luck! Neither of these benefits are interrelated and definitely do not effect each other. CSA payments are based on absent partners ability to pay. The CSA payment may affect your benefits, but your benefits wont affect your CSA. the point of the CSA was to get absent dads to pay money to single mums, so the govt didnt have to pay benefits to them, saving the govt money. Thats why the whole thing is so hated, the poor kid sees no improvement in overall family income. the father is worse off. the only winner is the govt. this is why they declared years ago they were only taking on new cases that involved benefits. Nothing in it for them if families are not on benefits. no savings to be made. |
