Does prosper.com charge your account when you ask for a loan?

Does prosper.com charge your account when you ask for a loan? I'm wondering because I'm in a bit of a financial emergency and need $3,000 before July 15th (Sunday). I've been asking friends and family, even strangers on craigslist.org and yahoo answers to help me out. People keep steering me toward prosper.com, but I don't have a bank account due to identification fraud issues that I'm trying to get through. My mother has been letting me use her account to pay my bills, etc., but I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with prosper.com, and could clue me in on how long a $1500 loan would take to aquire, and whether or not prosper.com would charge her account.

Prosper doesn't charge for posting a listing. There is a closing fee (1%-2% depending on your credit grade) if your loan is funded by lenders. The fee is deducted from your loan amount.

If you need money by July 15th, Prosper won't work for you. You need to allow for the listing duration (3-10 days) then another 2-4 business days for post funding verifications that Prosper does. Either way, you'll need a bank account in your name for Prosper to transfer funds into.
