Sorry to say this, but you need to pound the pavement and get a job. Both of you. You brought this on yourself. If you can't support yourself or you gf, then you shouldn't be living together. No one here is going to offer you money...for all we know it could be a scam. Is ther some reason you or you gf are not working? Get a job anywhere you can, collect cans. do what you need to do because the state won't help you if you are capable of working. Sorry if I sound harsh, but those are the facts.
Get a job if you don't have one. Use public transportation to get to work. Also, there are programs that donate cars to people who qualify for it, go to your local Social Services office.

Dial 211 on your phone (like 911). This is a social service hotline to connect you with agencies in your area who can help you with your specific problems. They are a referral service, but they'll let you know what agencies can help you, like an agency that can help you with transportation, then another to help you get a job, etc. It's not in all areas yet, but if you live near a city, you probably have it.
