NSI Direct Isa - declined me....why??


I have tried to open a direct ISA with NS&I today for 拢3000. I have never had an ISA before. I have more than enough funds in my bank to cover the cost.

I rang thr HSBC who said they had no reason so decline

I rang NS&I to try again and we did and it said it declined me again.

I rang HSBC again who then said they had authorised it and it was pending.

I then ring NS&I to tell them this, and they told me that it had NOT gone through.
I dont understand!!!!!!!!!!!!

The woman at NS&I told me not to try agian today. Why is this? Would it show up on my credit file at equifax and give me a red mark? I dont think this is fair.

I have got more than enough money to cover payment.

HELP!!!!!!! It's annoying me to hell!!!
