How to do an international Bank Transfer? |
I need to send money from a bank in Delaware to another bank in the Fiji Islands. I have the bank account and the name of the bank in Fiji, but i have no clue how to go about doing that. Would i go through my bank here or what is the proper way of doing that? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Ikobo looks great, and they have a program for non-profit organizations. Source(s): http://index-go.com/ikobo-money-transfer... You will need to initiate the bank wire with the institution you are taking the money from, hence Delaware. You will need the routing number or swift code number from the bank in Fiji, along with the bank name, address, phone #, account number sending it to and name of the individual who is receiving the money. There will be fees involved usually around $35 or so depending on the institution. I sure hope there is a legitimate reason you are sending money to Fiji and this is not someone trying to scam you out of money. It's really easy!!! Just call the bank you want to transfer from and tell them you would like to do an international wire tranfer and they will ask u a couple questions like the address of the other bank u are wiring into, along with your account number there and routing number. Most banks have a fee, usually around 25-50 for international wires... They will fax it for u and u should have the money in about 1-3 hours...goodluck!!! P.S.- you might have to go into the delaware bank to fill this out in person for security reasons... I'm a bank teller |
