Will my wage garishments increase if i get a raise?

Will my wage garishments increase if i get a raise?

probably since it is based on a percentage of your earnings
Probably. It's usually limited to a certain percentage of your pay, so as your pay goes up, so will the deduction.
Probably...most garnishments are based on a percentage of your pay. If there is a set amount on it, then it shouldn't.
it depends on the amount of the garnishment per month, as well as the amount of ur raise...
most garnishments have a set monthly amount, AND a max percentage of ur NET pay.

So if u have a garnishment for $200 a month, and ur making $300 a month, then they would only get $150 per month, where as if u get a raise to $400 a month, then would get their full $200 per month, and if u get a raise to $1000 a month, they would still only get their $200 a month.

However, if it's child support, or spousal support, the order to withhold might be altered, ordering u to pay more, based on ur new salary...
I'm a payroll administrator, with over 5 years of experience.
Depends on if it is set up as a certain amount each month or as a percentage of your income.
