Can I 12 Year Old Get A Debit Card?


Can I 12 Year Old Get A Debit Card? I was wondering if I can get one before I go to California on July 24th. Instead of carrying money with me,which is dangerous because if my wallet is stolen then all my money is gone. If i get a prepaid debit card then I can cancel the card. Also I heard that banks give out cards to kids. Does anyone know any bank names for Massachusetts that offer the bank cards? Thanks!

Yes you can, I bought my kids Debit cards for Christmas so they could get what they wanted and where they wanted. Just make sure you sign the back of the card before you use it. I purchased them at the TD Bank North. Source(s): Have a nice trip.

yes you can but a parent must accompany with you to the bank and set it up for you.
I'm pretty sure anyone can get/use a prepaid debit card. Have you tried... oh I don't know...
