Owe $5000 due at the end of 3 years and $3000 due at the end of 7 years?

owe $5000 due at the end of 3 years and $3000 due at the end of 7 years?
i owe $5000 due at the end of 3 years and $3000 due at the end of 7 years?
i am allowed to replace these obligations by a single payment at the end of 5 years. if money is worth 4.5%, what is the total amount to be paid by me at the end of 5 years using the end of 5 years as the focal/comparison date.
please help me calculate this, i dont know if what im doing is correct.

$5000 in three years is 5000 X (1.045 ^ 3)
3000 in 7 years is 3000 X (1.045 ^ 7)
