How old do ii have to be to get a bank account??? You can have a savings account at any age as long as your parents are on it with you if you're a minor. I think 13 or something. You could always try calling a bank. It probably varies bank to bank. For a checking account, you need a parent's permission, and for them to cosign, unless you are 18 or older. I had a bank account from the time I was 10 years old. Your parents will likely have to be there with you when you open it. it depends on what bank you go to. at my bank you can be a little kid. i think it might be 16 but im not positive, you can get one at any age when you have a parent/guardian/any adult go onto the account with you You can open a bank account when you have money to put in it. Some banks want $200 minimum and some only want $25. You have to talk to the teller and find out at the bank you want to go to. They are not all the same. Some Credit Unions have a lower minimum deposit. |
