Month to month rental require 30 days notice? |
In Florida, does a landlord require 30 days notice on a month to month rental? Look at your rental agreement but it is common renting courtesy to give 30 days notice or they can require you to pay for an extra month to cover them not having a chance to advertise for someone to rent in your place. If you and your landlord are on agreeable terms, talk to him/her about it if you need to be out sooner than 30 days. I know if California they do. Even if you are on a month to month. Your lease if you had one, turned over in a month to month all the rules still apply that your initially signed on your lease. The only difference now is your not obligated to stay for the required time without a fee for breaking it. As I said that is in California. What is in the rental agreement. I would say yes they do require notice, but you might be able to get away with only giving a week, since you are only on a month to month, they are expecting you to move out withint a few months anyhow. yes month-to-month says it.....yes...... |
