Best way to get home inspection business? |
I'm seriously considering opening a home inspection business in the Sacramento, CA area. What are the best ways to market such a business? I have a few realtor friends that I will work with to get my name out, but are there any other ideas that someone might be interested in sharing? My best guess would be, similar to how your realtor friends may be able to utilize your services, I'm sure other's realtor's could benefit from having a "guy" for their home inspections as well. Home inspections are common to most Real Estate home sales transactions and can, in some cases, really hold up the process. If you were comfortable enough with the service you have to offer (turn time, efficiency, quality) you could easily embark on a "drip campaign" to solicit other Real Estate offices that could use you as their "go to." By "drip campaign," I mean you would want to actually flyer these offices, bring them something simple that displays what you have to bring to the table and why they should use you. You would continue to do this as long as it takes to get them to 'try' you out and give you a chance to prove yourself. In addition to that you could begin with your Realtor friends and their office(s). You would likely generate enough business there for you to learn how to work with Realtors and develope your business at the same time (depending on the size of their office). Market to Realtors through fliers in their mailboxes at the office. Word of mouth will be your best way to get customers. |
