Our house is in my wife's name and we are a month behind on the payment,will my credit be affected?

If your name is on the mortgage either as a cosigner or as a joint applicant then your credit will be affected. But if your name doesn't appear on the loan application than no you will not be affected.
If you are not on the loan, your credit will not be affected, however you are responsible for the payment too if you live in a community property state.
Um...that would depend on who's name is on the loan.
