Can a real estate sales person/agent represent them self in the purchase of a property in NYS?

Can a real estate sales person/agent represent them self in the purchase of a property in NYS?

Yes, they can, but they must disclose that they are a licensed agent. The reason for that is so that the persons with whom they are dealing understand that they are working with a professional in the field, who may have knowledge far in excess of the average person.
sure,.. why wouldn't they be able to represent themself
I don't see why not. I think I could represent myself, and I'm not an agent. Right?
why not? if you were a plummer, would you call another plummer to unplug your drain?
