Should pricing be revealed on a computer service website? |
There is a lot of competition in my area and some do and some don't advertise. Some kind of pricing structure should always be shown on the site. It can be per hour, minimum project cost, a list of services and their prices, or even something stating "Starting as low as $..." I look at it this way: If a website does not show any prices and simply tells you to contact them for a quote, chances are they are expensive and prefer to tell you on the phone why they charge so much. It is part of their sales pitch. Source(s): $7 Web Hosting http://www.websitemanagers.net "You can say pricing dependent on work scope" call for an estimate and/or say otherwise we have an hourly rate of $100/hour or whatever. It's hard to set prices when you don't know how much time you're going to spend on it. Hourly rate is the best way to go. The matter of fact, clients want to know the quotes right away before they contact you. If you want to beat your competitors, make a flat rate. Once you have enough clients to handle then you can charge others by hour. Just my 2cents http://www.windowstips.org Unless you're cheaper than everyone else, NO. Let your amazing website marketing content do all the talking. It is however a very good idea to leave a chart of rates for general client types. Home/Business... |
