How many Blogs? |
If your using a blog to promote a product should u have blog's with several providers? google, yahoo etc? It depends on how much work you want to put in! Obviously, if you have more than one blog, you`ll get more traffic, as you`ll have 2 links in the search engines rather than 1 (2 links if you have 2 blogs obviously, the more blogs you have, the more links you get). However, the search engines have what is called a duplicate content penalty. If all the blogs you have contain exactly the same content, only 1 will take priority to the search engines, and the others will drop way down the rankings. This is to stop the search engines getting full of spam, and showing exactly the same content for each result in say the top 10 results. So if you have more than one blog, each will have to have different content. Each site can be based on the same topic, but you`ll need to reword the content for each site, which is a lot of work. It would be much better to build one blog and focus on making that as good as possible, and concentrate on SEO to get it a good position in the rankings.
