Just download the Alexa toolbar and surf your own site and have friends download the Alexa Toolbar and surf your site. Also join some of the networks which exchange Alexa credits like http://www.upmyrank.com/ I have no idea why anyone would want to increase their rank in Alexa because anybody with half a brain knows the statistics are a load of crap. You have to have alot of sites linking to your site. There are a number of ways to get links to your site. Here are some below: 1. Join forums and attach a link to your site in the signature field. You can make it a small font link so nobody will consider you a spammer, and you will get free traffic from interested forum goers. 2. Join sites like http://www.articlepanda.com/ where you can submit short articles and leave a link back to your site. Writing articles and embedding links can save you hundreds of dollars in advertising costs. 3. If all else fails you can pay other sites to put links to your site up for you. This may be frowned upon by search engines and you will have to be very careful about doing this. Also, before paying to get links from anyone make sure they have a high page rank to be worth the cost. 4. Visit old media sites like MSNBC and leave a link to your site in their comment sections. Sometimes these big sites allow users to comment on stories and even allow the ability to post hyperlinks. Do this sparingly and add a valuable comment in return so they wont simply delete your post. 5. Join powerful organizations such as a the Publishers Marketing Association. Once you become a member you can have your information and link posted in their member directory. 6. When you are putting out links to your site, vary which pages the links point to.
