Does anyone know were we i can advertise for free? |
my father owns a small business Magdalena, Is it an online business? Does he have a website? If so, you can "advertise" in places like USFreeads.com and other free advert sites. You can also build traffic for him by finding forums where people are talking about his type of business. For instance, I have a chocolate candy website. It is http://www.chocolate-candy-mall.com... So I search in Google for chocolate + forum and find places where my site is relevant. Then I contribute to the conversation and leave a link to my site in my signature file. This helps to build my link popularity and raises my search engine ranking. There is a link in my profile about generating traffic and other helpful online business info. if you want to read more. If you think I can help you further, email me. All the best to you and your father. myspace it would get lots of views since there is sooooooo many people there. or you could also try facebook, xanga but they probally would get so many views as myspace... good luck(: Depending on the type of business, there are several type of marketing strategies that can be implemented inexpensively but as a small business owner the only "free" advertising I have found is by referral from my current customers which works very well but YOU HAVE TO ASK for them. Other methods which work well are flyers passed out in grocery stores for special promotions. Most local grocery stores are very receptive to this with their baggers bagging food anyway. Anything to promote "local business." Cross market with other small businesses for instore drawings, gift certificate give aways, or community monthly events to draw in crowds on normally slow periods. It costs the local businesses a little bit to pitch in on the discounts and goodies but basically we make up for it in the added traffic and fun! The local papers do a great job of covering the events. Radio stations do the psa's free. Local tv stations also do the psa's free. Depends on what small business you're in. A website and Search Engine Optimisation has upfront cost, but if you have a niche business, or only operate in a local area, you can get your website to the top of the search engines such as Google quite easily by concentrating those niche or location keywords in your website. Once you achieve that, you only have the yearly website hosting fee, which can be less than $100 per year. http://seopro.com.au/ I also have a small biz. These are the places I advertise online for free. http://caklassifieds.com -This one has lifetime ad space Free. http://backpage.com - This one has plenty of traffic. http://craigslist.com - This one may or may not show the ad, but it has alot of traffic. I use these three for good targeted customers. Hope it helps and tell your Dad Good Luck! If you want to advertise pet related services I can recommend http://www.allpetservices.co.uk... . This is a growing site and absolutely free but mainly aimed at the UK. |
