Ebay Help? |
Will my maximum bid prevent someone from sniping me? Welcome to sniping class 101...Every buyer I've taught this to ends up winning 80% more auctions for less money! First, DO NOT BID, but bookmark tne auction you want to win. If there are NO BIDS, a few hours before the auction ends, go to the sipe web site (1st link) and register---it is FREE. (In fact, when you are done reading this, go register!) If there is just one bid, bid the minimum to test the waters---as close to the end of the auction as possible-- you want to check if the first bidder just put in the minimum. If you are the high bidder, then register your snipe bid. If there are SEVERAL bids, do no bid on the auction--you might have to go high--but ONLY through the snipe software. Be realistic about your high price. Know that if you don't win THIS auction, within a day, a week or a month there will be another one. Register your auction and high amount. Now this site is free if you register 5 auction snipes or less per week. More than that, you have to pay. Also, since it's free, they bid 8 seconds before the auction closes. If you pay, I believe it's 2 seconds. Not enough time for the usual person to come back with a counter-bid. To study snipe bidding, find an auction that had over 20 bids and look to see thost last few seconds. Over 50% of the time I have found that it was someone who never bid at all who comes in to win. Keep me posted! Source(s): http://www.justsnipe.com/ Yup, it works for me but it depends on what amount your maximum bid is.. |
