I want to know more about cheap and effective ways to advertise and people who do that.? Print media is very expensive, even if you are just printing out flyers, the costs really rack up. It really depends on what you are trying to advertise as well. Sometimes it is as simple as putting ads up on the bulletin board at your supermarket. Or you can use the web. Try Craigslist.org or http://www.whyabe.com They both allow you to sell products on their sites for free. try fed-x kinkos and print out flyers or go around in your car w/ a megaphone and shout your buisness location and what your selling Use a vehicle wrap, try Craigslist....join a club. http://labusinesskid.com Some basics to keep in mind are; 1. Business cards. Always hand out at least 2 cards so folks can give them to friends. Also print something on the back to make the card a resource. For instance, I teach computers and add a list of keyboard shortcuts on my cards. 2. Press Release. Send out to local papers or even national papers if you do something newsworthy. Contact local reporters to see if they'd do a story on you. 3. Get a web site, and add the web site link to all profiles, email signatures, and even list here in Answers. You missed an oppurtunity to mention youre business here. 4. Write articles on your expertise, and link back to your site or mention your business. 5. Put vinyl lettering on your car. I bought the car magnets twice, each time was like $30 and they got stolen. The vinyl lettering cost me $20 and was bigger on my car- therefore more noticeable. 6. Join business groups to get feedback on your marketing, or share marketing ideas with other businesses. 7. Get in the Yellow Pages. Best tip: Look up the type of business you're in, and figure out how to put your business in those outlets. |
