Sometimes the adwords displayed on my web page come up incorrectly? |
The adverts are not related to the page content. It only seems to happen on the first page of my site. Do i have to setup some meta data or something to help the Adwords system? Heya, First question, are you using Google adwords? If so, there are a few potential issues. 1: You just posted the code onto your page and Google has yet to index the content on the site to determine relevant content yet. If this has happened, you'll either see ads showing up in Japanese, or you'll see PSA's or you'll see some non-relevant ads popping up on the page. Unfortunately, the solution to this is just to wait for Google to see the content on the page. If you want to focus on getting the right ads with particular content on the page, Try using section targetting. This will tell Google only to display ads from the content contained in this code: <!-- google_ad_section_start --> <!-- google_ad_section_end --> If you want to make sure Google doesnt display ads from a particular section of the content, use the following code: <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight... --> Most of the other search engines, like Yahoo have a similar trial period where they get to know your site and serve relevant ads. Since you specifically said "adwords" I'm assuming you're using Google. Hope this helps. Source(s): https://www.google.com/adsense/support/b... |
