If i put a bid on ebay and win and they charge my card how do i know that person will send the item i bid on cant they just not send it and rip me off? If you pay with a CC, and you do not get your item you can file with Paypal OR the CC company, but not both, for a refund. But give the seller time. Some sellers don't get the item mailed for a week. Then they are at the mercy of the carrier. The P.O. is getting known for slow, slow service, even if it is priority. I usually give about 16 or 17 days before contacting the seller. I have found if I wait that long, the item is there. After you contact them, give them 2 business days to answer.. If no answer by day 3, then contact Paypal. If they reply and give you a refund, then let it rest. If the refund in in full. I recommend doing that first, then if Paypal fails to give you a refund and you get no item you have the CC company to fall back on. Do not let the seller string you along. If they contact you after the 17 days saying , that they are getting it ready to mail, or it is in the mail, give it 7 days. If no item then, contact them again asking for a refund, telling them you didn't get your item. Do not accept another excuse at this time. If the seller refunds, then no big deal. Don't file with Paypal or the CC. But make sure the seller refunds in full including shipping charges they charged you. If the seller refuses to refund file away. I never deal with anyone with less than a 99% positive rating. If you do not get your item, you can file a claim with PayPal, assuming that's who you went through. You can always file a claim with your credit card as well. If you don't get the item, you shouldn't have to pay. good question i have no idea how ebay works thats why im sticking to stores lol Make sure you use paypal for your purchase this way if it isn't received you can report it to paypal. The seller will have to show proof of delivery confirmation or online tracking to show the mailed and delivered it. If they can't show that paypal will refund your cc the amount you paid. Also make sure you buy from a seller with a good Feedback history.. ebay seller/buyer there is a way you can report an item not sent afeter you win. you will either get your money back or receive the item |
