My website went from #1on google to nonexistant in one day? What happend? Do a site:www.YOURWEBSITENAMEHERE.c... search in Google and see if something comes up. If it shows 0 results, then I would be very worried as that means your site has been removed from the Google database. Or if it only shows a handful of your pages when you have thousands, then it means you've been handed a severe penalty. Also check other pages for that keyword -- your page may just have dropped in rankings from #1 to maybe #100. That is not unusual, though you need to ask yourself why. Look over your website with a fine tooth comb and analyze what Google guidelines you violated. Are you selling text link? Are you getting most of your content from article directories so you got slapped with duplicate content penalties? Are you linking to sites outside of your own topic? Are you keyword stuffing? There's a lot of reason, and without knowing your website it is impossible to make a specific analysis It is hard to say without knowing more details. However, most people who use search engine optimization strategies like keyword stuffing, or otherwise trying to "trick" or "outsmart" the search engines are ultimately doomed. The only way to maintain front page rankings at Google is to have an high quality website that overdelivers with relevant and original content. I have had my site about bipolar disorder up for only a few months and am already getting on the first page of search results at Google and Yahoo for about a dozen keywords. Instead of trying to outwit the search engines, I concentrate on creating quality content - see link below.
