Is there any SEO benefit to using .co.uk over .com for a UK-focused website? |
I'm launching a UK-based and focused hobbyist website, and have both .com and .co.uk domains available. Which should I use? I'm inclined toward the .com for its simplicity, but is there an advantage from a search engine point of view to the .co.uk suffix? In the final analysis I want UK residents to find and use the site above all, so if .co.uk lends itself more to achieving this aim then that will be the clincher. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. you should use the co.uk. the more "mentioning" of the fact that you are "uk" oriented the better. here is an example of sub domains: this web site is for California driving schools http://california.drivingschools-a-to-z.... but this web site is for new York driving schools http://newyork.drivingschools-a-to-z.com... the content is different. the schools are different. both web sites are towards the matching usa state Source(s): http://www.drivingschools-a-to-z.com/... |
