How do I get into becoming an agent? |
what steps do I need to take.... My boyfriend is an athlete and my ex boyfriend was also an athlete and I always have new ideas for the both of them that will make them better in the future (like charity events and blah blah balh) but now Im starting to think that I can do this for a living. ( Im in school for Marketing and want to fucus on sport marketing) From what I understand, you鈥檙e writing about some pretty serious money, aren鈥榯 you?. Learn the business 鈥渇rom the inside, out鈥?- Search on the web for 鈥渟ports agents鈥? Go to work for one of them for about a year or so. THE LAST thing you need to do is to get into a business - on your own - you know little or nothing about, then, because you loused up or made a big mistake, one of your clients sues the daylights out of you - and there goes YOUR livelihood AND YOUR reputation. Once you get a bad 鈥渞ep鈥? its very, very difficult to overcome. You should also take contract law and business law courses. If you want to become an events promoter, I don鈥檛 have any suggestions other than to substitute 鈥渆vent promotion or promoter for 鈥渟ports agent鈥?in your search.
