A SEO case study? |
Hello all, I need to place this website: http://new-years-eve.net in a relevant position in search engine results in less than two months. The site is for an international event away from the US, in New Years Eve... Please, suggestions on what to do to achieve this task? Thank you. Just social bookmark the iffy out of your page using your various key phrases, you should be able to find a list of high PR that "dofollow" SB sites, Netscapes a good example. Also "New Years Eve parties" seems like a good phrase, low competition, though of season probably won't bring you much traffic. Anyway give the social bookmarking sites a go, they can give pretty quick results. The best way to market your site in that amount of time will be through paid search. Bid on keyword phrases that reflect user intent and the content on your site. The downside is that this could be fairly expensive depending on the bidding prices of your keywords. The upside is that when search demand spikes in Nov and Dec for New Years Eve parties, you'll have a prime position and hopefully a well optimized paid search campaign. The other way, natural search... organic search, I'd be confident to say that you will probably not show up in time for your deadlines. It'll take a few months for the search engines to read, index, and rank your site.... even then, there's no guarantee that you'll rank well. If you're planning ahead for next year, then the site might rank for some of your high level words, but in the next few months, it's so unlikely that it's almost not a possibility. I know its probably not the answer you wanted :) yes, i think so! 2 months is a very short time to learn even the basic skills. I would suggest you to outsource the job. Moving forward I would suggest an internet marketing guide fron planet ocean and possibly (my favourite option) a 1-on-1 mentoring program. A mentor would guide you step by step to help you building/increasing your business online. A mentor would teach what needs to be done, send you assignments, correct them and show you what you have done right and what needs work. Not a classroom situation but a 1-on-1 relationship. Incredibly valuable. Here's some resources: Search marketing guide: searchenginenews.com 1-on-1 mentoring: http://www.covertsem.com/ (The only company I know that does a great job) Good luck!
