Head about the $300 ad campaign this morning on the AM radio -- which is good PR... but then, saw that Yahoo-banner ad, which leads to another face/shot of Gwen Stefani... and her adds/ends... looks professional, but plays like a kiddie arts/crafts for teen-girls website. Bottom line: I think some ad execs had a crush on the pop-star/fashionista... and used HP's money to get a little closer... to me, this better have a payoff, other than promoting someone that didn't need the boost. The first break/what we see of a multi-$$$ campaign is usually the best shot of it, and this isn't worth the money. HP has a better market-standing, then this.. (this is sad).
Thats what the ad execs get paid to do, and I think they were focusing too much on a target group this time to be spending that much on the advertising.
Gwen is one of the HOTT stars right now so they are milking it just like alot of others do hoping it pays off in the long run. |
