What is the best way for me to advertise my companys website? |
I have recently started working for a new company and they have asked me to find new customers for them. I was thinking of advertising their website but how do i do it? Or how would i find business listings to send e mails or to send them postal mail? Hi, Just some quick thoughts - ask the person who designed the website to look at the words used in the 'meta' tags in the website html coding - they should know what this means - they need to have good keywords, good descriptions etc which means search engines like Google, Yahoo can find them and make your company ranking higher up the list. Yahoo and Google have information about how to do this on their websites. - find companies which sell similar products or services to your company e.g. if your company was a travel company, look for companies which sell travel accessories and contact them, ask them if you can link to their website - that will also increase your ranking on the search engine list and hopefully the number of visitors to your site - its perfectly legitimate - you can ask a designer/ web designer to create a banner ad - which is a small advert - usually colour/pictures and you can contact companies direct or advertising agencies who will find you websites where you can put your banner ad - there are fees involved. - another way is podcasts or news feeds using a technology called RSS - if your website designer can do this - set this up - that way it can get posted up to the whole web and could be downloaded by a wider audience than just general advertising. - you can find ways of sending emails but people don't always like receiving them, so if you are looking to advertise online, go down the RSS feed route - because people choose feeds, email comes whether they like it or not. - if you are advertising offline, local press and magazines, you could do direct mailing.
