Is room rental (not whole house) taxable?

I've rented out only one room of my house. I'm still staying in the house. So should I include this in my tax return?

As I know, the examples quoted on taxation is always about whole house rental.

So, does it mean room rental (not whole house) is not necessary to be included in the tax return.

And could anyone tell me whether there's a disadvantage on renting whole house? Like no property rebate or staff like that.

If you make money on it, it's taxable.
