My sister and I have a cleaning business partnership so what do we need to do if we want to hire employees? |
My sister and I have a partnership cleaning business and if we decide to hire employees, what would we need to do? Right it is just the 2 of us. If you are hiring employees, you will need to get a Federal EIN. The cost is FREE, and the application forms are at most post offices. If you are hiring them as contracted workers, you STILL need to do that, as well as get completed form W-9 from them, so that you can send them 1099 forms at the end of the year for their taxes. Consulting a competent accountant will get that work done for you, so that you can keep your eyes on what appears to be a thriving business.. Good Luck!! DO BACKGROUND CHECKS!!!
