How do I find a manufacturer for a product I've seen online?

I've seen the product offered in many different styles and each time it is marked up way to far. People make it in their homes, but it looks cheesey so I want to have another version made and offered to the public less expensively.

Google is your pal.
Search in yellow pages...you`ll find your answer.
Why not make it yourself? You don't say what it is, so it's impossible to suggest a contract manufacturer. And cheesy is not a result of making it in your home, it's the result of bad design and/or shoddy manufacturing standards. Lots of cheesy stuff comes out of factories.

If they're selling a product for $20 that looks cheesy, and you're planning to produce one that looks nice, then selling it for the same $20 is not a bad strategy. Selling it for $25 or $30, because it is a better product, is not a bad strategy.

If the market says it's worth $20, then selling it for $10 is not necessarily a good move. If it costs you $8 to manufacture, ship, and advertise the product, you'd have to sell *six* times as many at $10 to equal your sales at $20.

Maybe you can do that. But if people are selling the cheesy ones for $20, not $18, that probably means that people aren't worried much about the cost.
