Chris. Where did you live? Look into Primerica Financial services! They train you all the way, all you invest is $199 for school and your license. Possibilities are endless. It's not a get rich quick thing. You are building a buisness. If you start your own you won't get a decent wage right away. I say look around in a crowded area and seeing what the market is and what they need. The more crowded the better. Then just try to divide the people in your mind. Are they young or old? Are they men or women? Are they rich or poor? What kind of jobs do they have? What are they doing in that spot? So if you find that your market is older males, fair income, no jobs, and they're there to spend some time, then you can see what business you could start to offer them. Obviously they need something easy but fun to occupy them, so it may be a good place for a hobby shop that gives lessons for example. One type of work that's good if you live somewhere that gets fair rainfall is landscaping. You don't need a lot of tools, just ingenuity, a good eye, good planning ability and so forth. I'm not sure what else, figure out the market, then figure out what they need, and see from that what you can do for the lowest investment. Are you in North America? don't go with any of the internet scams which seem to be everywhere. if you really want to be your own boss then you need to get an idea and start a business yourself! i did it with almost no money, little experience (and no business experience) and being a single parent - you just need to be committed to it and determined to succeed. i did a short business planning course which helped me get all the basics and put a business plan together - i'd really recommend that. use the following business advice sites to get your thoughts and ideas rolling... http://www.starttalkingideas.org/next_st... http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/... http://www.clearlybusiness.com/advice-an... http://www.newbiztips.net/default.aspx... http://www.startups.co.uk/dom2lv92ca.htm... good luck with it! x |
