Is envelope stuffing a scam?

In my towns empoyment guide there's adds for envelope stuffers. But ussually they want like $25 for the materials. But will pay $5 per envelope stuffed. Is this for real or not? Has anyone tried this?

How many 25 dollar checks do these people receive before they close their doors? How many of them get caught before they take the money and run? There is no law as to what kind of adds you run nor are these adds regulated... So, based on what I've told you, what is your conclusion?

I tried this in college and I never received any envelopes :(
unintended most times but it is a big scam.
The person with the add is usually scammed as well.
Look at a Website that is called The Rip off Report and it has a Place on the Website that you can look and companies that are Rip offs. Go there and type in envelop stuffing.
