How do i open up a travel agency, i have noexperience like this ??? |
i LIVE IN SMALL TOWN SO I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF A TRAVEL AGENCY WOULD BE WASTE OF TIME AN MONEY TO OPEN HERE IN LOUISIANA ??? i NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS FROM LOANS TO APPLIANCES, OR DO I NEED EXPERIENCE AN WHAT KINDS , JUS EVERYTHING ..SO IF U HAVE EVER WORKED FOR AN AGENCY OR OWN ONE PLEASE FILL ME IN WITH EVERYTHING U KNOW...THANKS First things first. Next, you really really REALLY need to find a way to work at or do an internship at a travel agency just to get an idea of what they do and if it's something you really want. After that, you need to do a business plan. Don't pay for one, do it yourself. The research required to do one will let you know what the industry is about and if you really want to commit to it. Also, try the Small Business Administration http://www.sba.gov/localresources/distri... They will give you tons of information on how to start and fund a small business. I think you'd be better off working for an agency (they get commision) or a tour operator ( they own the product and pay commision to travel agents ) first.
