What type of reports does an intelligence database produce?

Intelligence database, or Business Intelligence, or Data Warehousing, as it used to be known, holds key business data for a company.

The reports are specific to the type of data that is held in the database. For example, if you are a pharmacy, and your BI (DW) database holds your customers, scripts, locations, providers, and drugs, then your reports can give anything from usage of specific drugs by date, or customer usage by location, or provider volume by location, etc.

It's all about the data.

What you get out of a DW database is dependent on the quality and type of data you put in, and the tools you use to access it.
