If you are a consultant or a professional, you should receive Form 16AA, which gives you the details of the professional fees and Tax Deducted at Source thereon.

OK, I hope this will help you. The 16AA will show the amount that was taken from your earnings. It has been forwarded to the government on your behalf.

Form No. 16AA is the Certificate of Tax Deducted at Source from Salaries with Return of Income.

The Form No. 16AA can be submitted by resident individual if -
- his total income includes income chargeable under the head Salaries
- the total income from salaries before deductions under section 16 does not exceed Rs.1,50,000/-
- the total income does not include income chargeable under the heads Profits and gains from Business or Profeesion or Capital Gains and does not have agricultural income, and
- he is not in receipt of any other income from which tax has been deducted at source by any person other than employer
