Do i pay city taxes if I live in the city of Lancaster, OH?

I just moved from the country in a different county in Ohio and I never thought about having to pay city taxes, since I lived in the country for over 25 years. I need to know if I need to pay city taxes for Lancaster, OH which is where I now live and I now live in the city limits. If I do have to pay city taxes what is the process?

If you live or work in a city you normally have to pay city taxes. You can download more info and forms from the city website. http://www.ci.lancaster.oh.us/dept/incom... Source(s): google
yes
Go to the town clerks office and ask your questions, or the county offices. they will be able to pull the deed for your house and tell you when and how much you will owe.
How can you possibly not know that you have to pay city taxes. Even when you lived in the country if you worked you still had to pay city taxes where you were employed.Call the IRS they will let you know.
I'd just like to point out that not all Cities have a taxation scheme. Not all states have Income tax rules either. Ohio and Lancaster do. The link given above will answer all your questions.
