Is the country of Qatar taxfree for civilian contractors?

Is the country of Qatar taxfree for civilian contractors?

Good news! Yes, it is tax free. There are no taxes to be paid in Qatar as a resident. If you are US citizen and spend no more than 30 days back home in the States during the year (at least 11 months out of the US) you are entitled to a $ 80 K exemption.
There is no sales tax on purchased goods, gas, etc. Source(s): Our family lives in Qatar since 2002.
