Does VAT apply in southern Ireland? Yes, it does. VAT is a consumer tax. It is collected by VAT registered traders on their supplies of goods and services. Silly Irish nationalist that I am, I thought he was asking of the UK's VAT applied in Ireland. It took me a minute to realize what he was talking about. Ireland has its own VAT, yes, at a standard rate of 21% or so. Original answer: Of course not. It's an entirely different country. It's not like they're two provinces of the UK called Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland. There's Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom, and the Republic of Ireland, which is an independent nation covering the rest of the island. Happy travels. no! its not but let me inform u about my country, it is there at present but its soon out, thats best about it. Course it does...unfortunately! why would you think it doesnt??? |
