Why am I scared to find a permanent job? |
I had 1 permanent job for 9 yrs and left for a temp to perm job in the dot-com era. When the bubble burst, I had temp jobs for 7 yrs. I was fine with it because I could challenge myself to different jobs, like accounting support, marketing admin, project team member/coordinator, and HR. Maybe its because you get bored, it seems like you like a challenge, like me I cant stand having the same job for more than 2 years so after a while i find a new job thats completely different or maybe your afraid to commit to a permanent job? I think you answered your own question....... get over it! You are scared because you still want a prince to ride up to you and wisk you away. If you have a permanent job, he might not be able to find you. You probably like variety and are not satisfied with routine. That's completely normal as all people are different and have different needs. If that's the case, stick with the permament jobs which will give you more satisfaction and a chance to always learn new stuff. Sounds like the temp jobs gave you good experience and skills. Now tell the interviewer that you know better what you want to do now and you are ready to utilize your skills for growth in a stable position. Why are you afraid? Is commitment an issue for you? Why? There is no such thing as a permanent job. |
