What professional IT qualifications are sought after by UK employers? |
I'm particularly interested in learning about the different types of networking and computer programming courses that are provided by training centres and whether they are any good. A few years ago I did a web design qualification, CIW, which amounted to nothing. The company, which is based in Tolworth, London, took me for a ride and 2000 pounds of my money. They made promises they couldn't keep and from then on I have never trusted another human being. They are all the same :-) Should I have gone for another IT qualification instead? Do any IT courses accept novices or must I have a computing degree first? As an additional thought, apart from the MBA, what is the most popular professional qualification available to date? Is it an accounting qualification like AAT? Well, experience is the most sought after qualification by any employer. When it comes to IT, a college degree is going to be the more highly respected then certifications. |
