What should i put on my resume for skills? |
i want to get this job in a dental office and i use to work in a office and i dont know what to say for the skills part on my resume im very good with computers and i type very fast. my last job i use to answer phones,schedule appointments,did some work on the computer like data entry and other things but idk how to make it sound professional? help! basically just what you said: computers and i type very fast: WPM ____ answer phones: Phone operator schedule appointments for multiple doctors (If you had a program include that did some work on the computer like data entry and other things: proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel (or other program like Quickbooks) Now you may want to place in order of relevance... Good luck Put exactly the skills you have that you think might be applicable, and nothing more. Fast typing (or specific speed) phone skills, appointment scheduling (with specific tool if done on computer) data entry etc. should all be listed. "Built the space station", should not. Basically put on your resume what you wrote in your question, and you'll have the right answer. If you can find out more about the specific office you'll work in and tailor your resume to their tools, that would be best. If not, tell them what you told us. There is no real professional way to say "I'm Good". Simply indicate with correct spelling and use of the English language that your competency in the skills required are above average. If you are confident in your people skills, I would find a way to mention it. For example: I have a unique talent for making customers feel comfortable and am easy to speak with. Good luck! |
