I am very much interested to join in a mainframe course. i wanna know from the expertise whether there are job opportunities for this... and also guide me the institute to join for mainframe course in bangalore.. i will be thankfull for ur advice
From job perspective, mainframe is not the good option. It was 15 years back and not now. Most of the organisations have moved away from the mainframe as more and more smaller, cheaper computers are being made available at similar processing power. Secondly, mainframe skills have become difficult to find because of the dwindling prospect.
Having said that, if you realy want to work on Mainframes, join a Tier 1 indian IT company (if u r in India) and they will be able to give you an oppurtunity to work on it. But do not make it as Go to market skill right at the begining. |
