Why do most jobs ask for both a profile and a resume?


I am looking for a job and everytime I am about to fill out an online application it has me create a profile AND attach a copy of my resume.....Isn't the resume enough?

For online, they need your profile to make sure you are not a fraud. Also so they can contact you, call you. Don't worry, just have many copies of your resume. You'll be set. Finding a job takes time, so don't rush.
