Working hours of an IT engineer? |
is it a 8 to 8 job (12hrs) or like other engineering jobs (8 hrs) or does it varies from one company to other in a country like India. well....it depends. Most IT companies in India have a 9 hours work-time. It can be 9 to 6, 11 to 8, 1 to 10, and so on....but in most cases people do not leave office on strict times. There are a few companies that offer flexi times. but that simply means come anytime, go anytime AFTER 8 hours min. it depends on a lot of factors, companies, the current project a person is assigned on, the time of the project (i.e. inception and design phases offer more lax times for a programmer and an escape frm office ON TIME is quite possible; but as and when testing and deliveries nears or occur, time for returing gets haywire...) It varies from company to company, and even supervisor to supervisor. It Depends@Which Company ur working for...! In most of the cases its 9 to 6 ..! Depends from company to company. Some places have groups that provides 24x7 support... which means you may have to be on call after hours or weekends. |
