What do electronic engineer do ? can electronic engineer work in programming ? |
which have more jobs electronic or communication engineer? I have a BAS EE, and I graduated in 1999. The nice thing about an EE degree is you can do just about anything. You can work in retail (Radio Shack, Best Buy, Circuit City), you can work in IT (Installation, repair, security), you can do programing (PLC, CNC) or even branch off into electrical (same as electronic, just bigger numbers). Since just about everything we do now a days is based on electronics, there are many jobs available. I would get the EE degree and not the Communications degree. You will learn most of the same concepts as the communications and you will have a more broad degree with more options. After I graduated, I worked for a large company installing and maintaining power generation equipment and I still work in that field but not for the same company. I was a telecoms apprentice/engineer, did a degree in electrical enineering, then a job in software. eventually solution design. so it doesn't much matter how you plan things it will all change in the future. best to get a ood understanding of systems then that can be applied to anything from climate change, sustainability communications or cars... most jobs now seem to be in marketing & "management", ie making it look like things are happening for the shareholders. real technical work is mostly outsourced to india. |
