What should i put down as references for an application? |
im 17 and i dont really know who to put down as references! please help! Have you ever worked before? If not, you'll want to ask someone who knows you pretty well (teacher, friend of the family, neighbor, etc..), but not someone your age and not a relative. I would think of someone who can explain how responsible you are and how you are mature for your age-- employers love to hear this about high schoolers who are applying. You'll definitely want to ask whoever you use before you hand in any applications so that they are prepared for the call. Good luck!!! only provide a list of reference's when asked. IE: "References upon request" Teachers, sports leaders, church leaders. Any adult who can give a charactor referance and that you are not related to will do. Your teachers & working friends Absoloutely your teachers, Guidance councelor as well, because they can speak of your learning abilities and guide you to the right kind of job for you. If you know a business owner or manager where you hang out, say BK or McD's and they like you, ask them as well. It never hurts to ask. |
