What kind of employment can my daughter get with a science degree? |
What kind of employment can my daughter get with a science degree? I know a lot of people with science degrees that now work in the technology field. Also, there are a lot of new science jobs opening up in the renewable-energy field. The concept of "global warming" is creating a lot of new and exciting jobs! A lot of my scientist friends with PHDs got so fed up with science they became very successful accountants!!! Lots of avenues are open as a scenice degree is a great way of saying "I am clever and can think logically to solve problems" great skills for many different business areas and jobs - the world is her osyster! Good luck! She can teach. Depends on what field. I am a chemist and have held 3 different positions as an analytical chemist (Contract lab, plant research, pharmaceuticals). With a 4-yr-degree, her options are pretty wide open. With a Masters or PhD she will be focusing her degree and qualifying for higher level positions (which there are fewer of) with more competition. Science and computer science are excellent areas to study. Best of luck to her!! |
